DISTRIBUTED FIBER OPTIC SENSING
Continuous monitoring of critical infrastructure using optical fiber.
Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) and Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) turn standard optical fiber into a continuous sensing system that can detect and locate events over long distances.
DISTRIBUTED ACOUSTIC SENSING — DAS

Uses optical fiber as a continuous acoustic and vibration sensor, enabling detection, classification and localization of events along the monitored route.

Capabilities:

  • Vibration Detection
  • Event Classification
  • Real-Time Localization
  • Long-Distance Monitoring
DISTRIBUTED TEMPERATURE SENSING — DTS

Provides continuous temperature measurements along the optical fiber, enabling detection and localization of temperature changes across extended infrastructure.

Capabilities:

  • Continuous Temperature Measurement
  • Hotspot Detection
  • Real-Time Localization
  • Long-Distance Coverage
INTEGRATED DAS + DTS MONITORING
DAS and DTS can operate as an integrated fiber-optic sensing system, combining acoustic and thermal monitoring of the same critical infrastructure.
A centralized platform provides visualization, alarms and integration with SCADA and security systems for local and remote operation.
WHY DFOS?
Distributed Fiber Optic Sensing (DFOS) combines DAS and DTS technologies with AI-powered analytics for continuous monitoring and early warning.
It transforms existing fiber optic cables into thousands of virtual sensors, providing real-time situational awareness across long distances.
ONE FIBER. THOUSANDS OF SENSING POINTS
Distributed fiber optic sensing enables continuous monitoring along an entire optical fiber without installing individual sensors at every monitoring point.
Depending on the sensing technology, the system can detect acoustic and vibration events, temperature changes and other conditions along pipelines, perimeters, telecom routes and critical infrastructure.
PIPELINE MONITORING
Continuous monitoring of pipelines and surrounding infrastructure for events such as third-party interference, excavation activity, leaks and other abnormal conditions.
PERIMETER SECURITY
Detection and localization of intrusion-related events along fences, boundaries and extended protected areas.
LINEAR HEAT DETECTION
Continuous temperature monitoring along tunnels, industrial facilities, cable routes and other extended infrastructure where early detection of abnormal heating is critical.
CONDITION MONITORING
Monitor temperature and strain to improve asset reliability and enable predictive maintenance.
